Is it time?

Gone are the days of one sticking to a single employer, serving for 35 years and receiving a wrist watch for longest years in service.
For the present generation this model is less appealing.
Equally, more opportunities open up,enabling one to job hop.
What is job hopping?
Job hopping refers to changing jobs.
Why does some one hop?
Reason can be anything.
Answer these questions
  1. Are you denied the promotion due to you?
  2. Are you frustrated in your existing job.
  3. Are you not recognized in your present job?
  4. Are you not being invited for official meetings?
  5. Is your increment not in trend (in spite of a good appraisal report)?
  6. Are you not informed about major decisions ( that affects your working)?
Have you answered yes to one or more of the above questions?
Take clue and start acting. Start looking for openings elsewhere.
Be ready to hop. As you can always find something to learn and grow from every situation.
One can hop jobs so long as:-

  1. He or she has the years in age
  2. You think it is worth a risk
  3. You think it is better to quit your current job
  4. It is not worth holding on to your current job
  5. Get a better title
  6. An increase of 35-40% on the current pay.
  7. Better Perks.
  8. Close to home town or family.
  9. Best ever or once in a life time opportunity to move to a better company.
Bottom line of the message is make the best of the experiences you're having now.
You should keep your options open and  convert to cash at the right time.
